Below, you'll find brief introductions to our majors, degrees, and certificates. If you want to learn more, please contact us or talk to your advisor. The best place to find the specific requirements for each program is the course catalog.
Our required courses are designed to introduce you to the major authors of the British and American literary traditions, the history of the English language, and the elements of style.
For the specific requirements of your degree, check our degree checklists: English BA degree checklist, English Language Arts degree checklist.
While it is subject to change, we tend to offer some courses on a regularly scheduled basis. So, while you are planning out finishing your English BA or English Language Arts and Education BA, you should be aware of a few consistent offerings we make in regards to courses that are required for our degrees. Be sure to check your degree checklist and your degree plan to determine which of these courses you'll need to take.
